Submission Based Blog

Hello all, hope you’re doing well.

I’ve gotten a few asks regarding why this blog goes through some dry spells and lulls even when I’ve announced my being active.
That answer is simple: This is a submission based blog.

I post when things are asked or submitted, and while I to submit to this blog, there are times where there is simply little to say.

I apologize for any quiet spells this blog has, but, I promise that it will speak when those with something to say speak.

That said, there is no pressure to submit anything to this blog, and I thank you all for your contributions in the past and future

Take care~

Medications can be a very important tool

Hello all. It’s been a while since I made a text post but I just re-learned a valuable lesson.

After getting a job and my life getting better, I stopped taking my daily medications. It’s now been almost 5 months and I’ve been so sick for the past two weeks that I have been to the ER twice, and my doctor three times.

And while I do have a stomach virus and a sinus infection, a large part of my symptoms can and are linked back to my anxiety disorder; now gone unchecked because of my coming off medications.

Do not underestimate how sick anxiety disorder or any panic related disorder can make you, it is very, very possible for them to make you physically sick. So if you believe that may be your case, I advise you to talk to your doctor, your psychiatrist, or therapist to help get the best treatment instead of getting frustrated over there being no official diagnosis or virus to pin.

I hope you’re all doing well,

take care

Q
I have been struggling with anxiety attacks for 3 years. Generally my attacks would end in me having an asthma attack which would only make things worse. I finally got the guts to go to the doctors about it as i am afraid to go anywhere anymore. The reason it took me so long to go to the doctors was i was afraid of being put on drugs. And well that is what has happened. How do i know im going to be ok on these? How do i know they are going to help? how do i calm my self about them, to take them?

I had similar fears and doubts when I first started taking my medications to, and I wont lie to you, the first week or so of taking them aren’t easy. You worry, you doubt, question it…but the important thing to remember are things that help you diffuse the situation otherwise.
Methods to calm yourself down during a panic attack, if you haven’t found any there are suggestions posted on this blog and they take trial and error too. But what I can also offer is that the medications can help, they balance out the chemicals in your brain and make it easier for you to deal with it.

There’s nothing to lose about giving them a shot, and if after two months you decide you feel no different, return to your doctor and seek an alternative route. Or talk to a therapist or psychiatrist about your concerns regarding these drugs, or how you feel they effect you.

I just discovered this really awesome site. Emotionalbagcheck.com
It’s a site that lets you leave the things that are bothering you anonymously. When someone chooses to “carry your baggage" they’ll get your submission, and send a song and a personal note to your email address through the site (it’s never shown publicly) that may help you with what you’re going through.I think this is an amazing idea!Don’t keep scrolling past this cause it’s actually worth checking out! :)

For reference, the original site seems to be down now but a sucessor-website can be found here:

It’s gotten a very nice design update, too. Pretty, calming.

ooh, thank you!

MY DEAR FOLLOWERS.
If you only ever read and/or reblog one of my posts, I hope this will be the one. Due to some medical problems I am on two pretty serious medications. One is fairly affordable. The other one? Well…
The local Krogers charges over $200 PER MONTH.
I did some research and found out that COSTCO had it for “considerably cheaper.”  But I wasn’t a member of Costco. Come to find out, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A MEMBER to fill prescriptions at their pharmacy.
In that bag I’m holding is a 90 DAY supply of BOTH medications for…wait for it….$38. This is friggin awesome. I nearly cried when I found out. So please, share this info (if not necessarily this post). There are plenty Tumblr folks who are struggling with medication costs and this could really help them.
I hope I’ve already helped some of you. :)

This is a thing which is good to know!

I seriously love Costco. They’re like the best company in the world, and their pizza is both dirt cheap and delicious.
